Some tidbits about me

Born and raised in New York, I was blessed with wonderful parents and a wonderful sister.  We moved a bit due to my dad's job, and for a year lived in a haunted house. 

I was a slow reader at the start and had no interest in the goody-goody children's books I had at my disposal.  Then I discovered The Cat in the Hat and The Tucker Twins.   At 11, with my family's doting approval, I mailed a handwritten (in pencil) idea for a Lassie episode to Screen Gems in Hollywood.  Soon after, I received a letter (typed) thanking me for my interest in the Lassie show but that they had staff writers for that.  The letter writer encouraged me to continue writing and honing my craft - or words to that effect. I wish I'd kept that letter.  Naturally, I was disappointed, but that encouragement from a stranger stayed with me.

Blessed with two wonderful daughters and a wonderful son, we are minutes from the most beautiful beach in America.
